For five Saturday afternoons (January 13th to February 10th) at the Fairmont Copley Plaza's Celebrity Chefs Culinary Program, guest chefs will be creating their signature dishes in two-hour classes held at the elegant Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston.
Novices and experienced cooks are sure to enjoy learning the culinary secrets of these top national and regional chefs.
- January 13, 2007 - Mary Ann Esposito host of the Ciao Italia! PBS television series and author of ten cookbooks including Ciao Italia in Tuscany.
- January 20, 2007 – Jeremy Sewall Executive Chef/Owner of Lineage Restaurant. Sewall comes from a long line of New Englanders; one of his ancestors was the infamous Judge Sewall of the Salem Witch Trials. Sewall draws on his New England roots when creating his seafood entrees.
- January 27, 2007 – Laurent Poulain Executive Chef of the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Award winning Chef Poulain oversees all the kitchen preparations; breakfast, lunch and dinner for the Fairmont Copley Plaza’s sumptuous Oak Room. Under his watchful eye the Oak Room has been voted Best Steakhouse 2003 by Boston Magazine.
- February 3, 2007 – Anupam Joglekar Executive Chef of Mantra. Chef Joglekar came from New Delhi India in February 2006. His knowledge of herbs, spices and fusion cuisine has revolutionized Mantra’s already famous menu of French-Indian dishes.
- February 10, 2007 – Jeremy Langemann, Oak Room chef, Katelyn Jenkins, Oak Bar manager. This course celebrates the Oak Room’s tenth anniversary with the Art of the Cocktail. The Oak Room is famous for having the largest martini menu in Boston, Jeremy and Katelyn will be mixing up some choice cocktails.
After each session guests can sample the chef’s creations paired with appropriate wines.
The five-week series costs $200 per person; a single session is $50 per person. For reservations contact the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE)at 617-267-4430. Proceeds from the program go to benefit the BCAE, a non profit adult educational institution.
